Brian Bond cfc is currently the Director of Edmund Rice International.

Brian was born and raised in Geelong, Australia where he received his primary and secondary education before joining the Christian Brothers in 1967. He completed his teacher training and obtained a Science degree from the University of Melbourne. He also holds a Diploma in Social Justice Studies from YTU, and has over 25 years experience as a teacher, Deputy Principal and Principal in Catholic High Schools in Australia.

More recently, before moving to Geneva, Brian had the responsibility of promoting social justice awareness across the Edmund Rice Network in his home Province and the co-ordination of the Edmund Rice International Volunteer Scheme for Australia and New Zealand.

Kevin Cawley cfc was born in Manchester , Connecticut, USA in 1947.

He attended Catholic schools in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and completed his formal education with the Doctor of Philosophy in Literacy Education from Fordham University in New York.

He lived for a time in Cochabamba,  Bolivia to study Spanish. He is a GreenFaith Fellow 09, a North American interfaith education and training program to prepare clergy and laity for religious-environmental leadership. He has completed the certificate program in Earth Literacy from Genesis Farm USA.

Kevin has taught in high schools in New York and New Jersey. He was President of Bishop Hendricken High School in Warwick, Rhode Island, served on Christian Brother Province Leadership Teams and for ten years as member of the faculty and administration at Iona College (University) in New York. He now serves as Coordinator of Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation for Edmund Rice Christian Brothers North America (ERCBNA) and represents Edmund Rice International at the United Nations in New York and Geneva.

Constantine (Tino) D’Abreu cfc is a member of the Congregation of Christian Brothers, in India. He brings over 30 years of teaching experience in the classroom and as a teacher trainer as well as 20 years of leadership and administration in Christian Brother schools in India to ERI.

He holds a graduate degree in Science, a Master’s degree in Sociology and a B.Ed degree.

Over the past 20 years he has been actively involved in formulating policies and creating necessary structures to welcome economically marginalized students into fee paying schools, in keeping with the vision and charism of the Christian Brothers.

He welcomes the opportunity as an Advocacy Officer with ERI to work for the promotion and protection of Human Rights and the Environment in a bid to build a better world especially for all children.

John Kevin Mullan cfc was born and raised in Omagh, Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland and was educated at the Christian Brother Schools there.


In his early years in the Congregation he was a teacher in Christian Brother schools in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. He holds a B.Sc. from the the National University of Ireland, a B.A. from the Open University and is a graduate of the Institute of Physics, London.  He worked in youth retreat ministry at Emmaus Retreat Centre in Dublin and has a Masters in Christian Spirituality from Creighton University, Nebraska.  He was Director of Marino Institute of Education and served in Province Leadership in Ireland from 1990 to 2002.

In 2003 he became a member of the Congregation Renewal Team and was involved in offering prayer experiences and renewal programmes in small group settings at international level across the Congregation and the Edmund RIce Network.  He became Province Leader of the newly-formed European Province of the Congregation in 2007 and completed his term of office there in 2014.
